Jennifer Delgado is a first-generation, pre-psychology and human development sophomore at CSULB. She joined CLIaM lab in Fall 2024 to pursue her passion for education and study how to engage learners in educational opportunities outside the classroom. As a first–time research assistant, Jennifer hopes to strengthen her ability to analyze scholarly texts and enhance her organizational skills via digital platforms. She anticipates her lab experience will prepare her for an Ed.S in School Psychology and a profession working with youth so she leaves a positive, meaningful impact on future generations. Before CLIaM Lab, Jennifer was a two-year intern at the Youth Mental Health Academy. She explored Religious Trauma Syndrome’s (RTS) impact on youth mental health, partnered with non-profit organizations that target issues affecting young adults, and presented her findings at the 2023 and 2024 YMHA Conference Events. During her free time, Jennifer enjoys shopping, watching movies and shows, finding new places to explore, and engaging in health and wellness activities such as Pilates, cardio, reading, and journaling.
